Owned by myself since 1989. It has hot dipped galvanised wings, full outer sills(which go behind the front wing), r/arches repair panels, electroplated bonnet and front lighting panel, resprayed in champagne gold.
The suspension and sub frames have been completely stripped down then shot blasted, powder coated and cavities fill with wax. Then rebuilt with a harden bush/new bolt kit and standard shock absorbers.
The brakes have been completely been rebuilt as standard with new brake pipes and for life brake fluid.
The engine has also been rebuilt(with sprint pistons) and detailed with lots of powder coating, chrome and gold wash passivation. It includes a spin on oil filter, K and N air filters and an electric fan(fan to be fitted).
Gearbox was out of a 43,000 mile and runs on fully synthetic Silkoline. A lot of the interior is from the same car and is in VGC, otherwise it is new.
I spent two weeks stripping off all the old under seal and repairing any imperfections. It was then given two thick brush coats of anti rust paint and a new coat of under seal. The hood frame was stripped down and repainted and new hood fitted.
There are hundreds of details not covered here. I also have a huge file of history, £1000s spent, spare sprint head, manifold and carbs.
Also included is a Grinnall TR7 V8. SU carbs, twin H stainless steel exhausts, Grinnall manifolds, V8 subframe, vented discs, all radiator fittings, electronic ignition housed in the V8 distributor. See it running. Body work on the Grinnall needs total restoration. Was going to swap over! New baby means I need to sell at some point! Here are two cars for a bargin price. |
